Search A Document For A Key Word On A Macbook
The search utility included in Microsoft Word provides a very easy way to search for all kinds of things in a document, not just text. There's a basic search tool that's easy for anyone to use but there's also an advanced one that lets you do things like replace text and search for equations. I'm new to Mac, I've always used PCs, so I was wondering how to search for a specific word on a website/document. On a PC, I know you just hit Ctrl-f to 'find', but what's the equivalent for a Mac? Hint: The command key is the one that people often call 'open apple' and is found on either side of the space bar. Open a new word document quickly. Cut- Removes the selection from the active document and places it on the clipboard.
We know you know how to do this as well but here’s how to do it anyway. Open the recycle bin by clicking in its icon on the desktop. You should then be able to see all of the files that have been deleted. If you see the missing doc, right-click on it and then choose 'Restore'. It will be restored to the original fil location. In case, you don't remember how to find the folder, simply search for it like we did in method 1. If, however, you don't find the document in the Recycle folder, it may mean that you never deleted it or you may have emptied the recycle bin at some point.

• To finely adjust a column width, turn off snap-to functionality by pressing Option with the shortcut keys. Note: Changing system function key preferences affects how the function keys work for your Mac, not just Word. After changing this setting, you can still perform the special features printed on a function key.
I will try to import it again and see if the trouble goes away. The interesting issue is that I was able to go through this exercise at initial installation and even connect to the 2010SP2 Exchange account without issue. It downloaded and synchronized all e-mail, events, and contacts. However, after closing/restarting the application, “something” continues to overwrite the server URL in the configuration. I wonder if it is reading that older SP1 MSE account and that’s what is overwriting the configuration.
I've never been a fan of the search facility that's built into Windows. It doesn't always find what I'm looking for. Plus, if you want to be able to search the full text of all your files, rather than just the filenames themselves, you need to turn on indexing. Which slows down your computer and takes up valuable hard disk space.
